Let me first start off by saying…HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO “A NEWER KAT IN TOWN”! (insert balloons & cake emojis)
First of all, I wanted to say thank you to each one of you for following along my blogging and travelling journey this past year. It has been one exciting year to say the least! I hope you have enjoyed the content I’ve produced, as well as enjoyed reading and relating to my posts. I’m excited to continue this journey wherever it may take me (and I hope you are too!!). To celebrate my one-year anniversary, I wanted to write a more personal blog post…introducing myself, explaining who I am, why I started this blog, etc.
Who I Am: For those of you who are new to my blog, my real name is Kathleen, but I go by Kat. I am a junior in college studying Marketing and English. I have a corresponding Instagram account @anewerkatintown where I post more frequently (If you haven’t followed me yet, go check it out!!).
Why I Started A Blog: I started a blog in the summer of 2015 to document my study abroad experience and travels. It was mostly for friends and family, as well as a journal for myself.

Where I’ve Traveled:
  • Czech Republic
  • France
  • Netherlands
  • Denmark
  • China
  • Hungary
  • Germany
  • Poland
  • Italy
  • Canada
  • England
  • Ireland
  • Caribbean Islands
  • (Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and Norway later this year)

Where I’ve Lived:
  • Prague, Czech Republic-I studied abroad here for seven weeks during the summer of 2015.
  • Shanghai, China-I studied and interned abroad here for 4 weeks during this past summer.
  • Milan, Italy-I am currently here for the fall semester.

What I Love Doing: My favorite hobbies include reading, blogging, photography, video editing, and of course shopping and traveling!!

What I Absolutely Hate Doing: I hate watching movies! Everyone always thinks I’m so weird for not liking them, haha!
One Fun Fact About Me: I like to buy flowers for myself once every two weeks or so!
As always, thanks for reading and helping me celebrate this special day!!
